KA210 Erasmus+ YOU – Small-scale partnerships in youth
The P4P project arose with the need for issues of inclusion, support, and welcome to the Ukrainian refugees in Europe. In 2022, Romania has taken in almost 113,000 Ukrainian refugees. In the partnership, all partners have refugees from Ukraine and other countries. Since 2022,increasing number of refugee children and young people have social inclusion needs during their social-educational life. For these disadvantaged youth, sport can be transformational; create new opportunities, build friendships etc.
P4P project is going with European Youth Goals #3 Inclusive societies, #5 Mental Health & Wellbeing and #9 Space and Participation for All. It is worth mentioning that according to „Integration of people fleeing Ukraine: Asscher report (Europa.eu)” published by the European Commission (EC), EU is determined to support the integration of people fleeing the war in Ukraine. The report goes on to conclude that refugees who have fled their homes still in need of help to be included in the communities. According to UNHCR Sport Strategy, sport is „More than a Game”. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. Via P4P we would like to create a network between sport clubs, sport organizations and NGOs working with refugees.By using the healing power of sport we would like to help more refugees, and disadvantaged youth and exchange good practices.
Objectives:
to enable youth workers working with disadvantaged young people to be more ready to be integrated into daily life through sport with inclusive methods, training courses, new educational toolkits
to extend and develop youth workers/sport staff working with disadvantaged youth and enabling these youth to integrate and be included in society while using more inclusive, integrative sport activities
use the power of sport and physical activity for psycho-social support, stress relief, education, health and inclusion of disadvantaged youth and refugees
P4P project aims and activities are harmonized with the project priorities. We want to support refugees from Ukraine and other nations. We stand on important equality-in-sport issues. It’s time to end the discriminatory practice of racial preferences. This proposal aims to use sport as a tool to break stereotypes, promote the continuity of the sports practice of youth during their lifetime by realizing:
Training courses (TC)
Sport tournaments / events
Multilingual toolkits
National Workshops
International webinars
Local events (camps, Festivals, tournaments)
Building girls / mixed sport teams
Together with these tangible results, we would like our youth workers/sport staff to improve their soft skills, leadership skills and empathy. They are expected to get knowledge on transferring and transforming sport activities according to the needs of disadvantaged youth via TC and toolkits. We expect a better integration of youth with disadvantages through inclusive sport LTT activities, workshops, camps, festivals etc

Youth exchange in Turkey, Afyonkarahisar
The Slovak team participated in the mobility in the Turkish town of Afyonkarahisar, known as the “jewel among the mountains” because of its geographical location. The town is known for its rich history, thermal springs and natural beauty. In addition to Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and host Turkey also participated in the project and ensured the smooth running of the programme. Arrival was followed by a week full of activities aimed at integrating disadvantaged youth into society, including workshops, discussions and sports such as football, volleyball and basketball, adapted for the handicapped. Participants also experienced Turkish culture, including a celebration of Circumcision and a visit to a thermal spa. A discussion with the mayor of Bolvadin and a trip to Antalya with historical sites and relaxation by the sea also enriched their experience. The end of the mobility included a cultural night where each country presented its cultural heritage.

Final conference in Romania
The Play for Peace conference took place in Targu Jiu, Romania. During a one-day conference at the University of Targu Jiu, we presented the results of the project. The mobility participants in Turkey prepared a short summary of how they felt about the exchange and what they learned and presented their experiences. Each country presented their organisations, including our Slovak Sport Organisation. Our Romanian hosts presented us with hand-painted pictures and Play for Peace trophies. After the conference, we tasted traditional Romanian food and learned about local sights. The conference was a perfect summary of the project and an evaluation of the successful activities. In addition, we again had the opportunity to further deepen the relationships between the representatives of the organizations.

Play4Peace Onsite Workshops: Promoting Inclusion Through Sport
The Play4Peace project (2023-3-RO01-KA210-YOU-000178287) continues to create inclusive sports opportunities for all by organizing onsite workshops that bring people together through movement, learning, and fun. Across multiple locations, our workshops have provided engaging and educational experiences, strengthening the project’s core mission: using sports as a tool for social inclusion, empowerment, and community-building.
Kin-Ball: A Sport for All!
With the support of Luisma, our new volunteer from Spain—who is a Kin-Ball player, coach, and referee—we launched Kin-Ball sessions at Budai High School. Each week, boys and girls learn, progress, and enjoy this unique sport, emphasizing teamwork over competition. Kin-Ball promotes cooperation, inclusion, and fun, making it the perfect addition to the Play4Peace initiative.
Workshops are not limited to schools—Kin-Ball training sessions are also held every Monday and Friday, open to anyone interested in joining!
Modern Archery: Learning New Skills

Participants learned essential archery techniques using a resistance band, helping them develop proper form and control before handling a real bow. This workshop demonstrated how sports can be accessible to everyone, focusing on precision, patience, and technique.
Chair Yoga: Movement for Everyone
Understanding that movement should be inclusive for all ages and abilities, we also held chair yoga sessions as part of the Play4Peace project. These sessions emphasize mind-body connection, stress relief, and improved posture, ensuring that everyone, regardless of physical ability, can participate and benefit from movement.
Our goal is to make sports accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable for all!
Dance Workshops: Rhythm, Fun, and Connection
Our social dance workshops have become a key part of Play4Peace, offering participants a unique way to experience movement, culture, and teamwork. Recently, we focused on the cha cha cha and rumba, allowing everyone to connect through rhythm and shared experiences.
